Coin Strike

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Coin Strike is one of those games that looks almost too simple at first. You flick a coin across a board, trying to land it in target zones or knock other pieces into place, and that's basically the loop. But the physics are so clean and the aiming so precise that it hooks you fast. Each level gives you a limited number of coins, and figuring out the ricochet angles becomes genuinely satisfying.

Control is pure touch and drag: you pull back from the coin, a thin guide line shows your trajectory, and you release. What makes it click is how readable everything is. There's no clutter on screen, no confusing meters, just the board and your next shot. Later stages add moving obstacles and surfaces that bounce differently, which keeps the simple idea fresh for a surprisingly long time.

We played Coin Strike in short bursts on the commute and it fits that rhythm perfectly. Levels take a minute or two, so you never feel trapped mid-session. If we had one complaint, it's that the difficulty spikes a little unevenly around the middle chapters, but a bit of patience gets you through.
